The Unley BUG makes submissions to the City of Unley and the Department of Infrastructure and Transport to represent the interests and welfare of bicycle users, pedestrians and mobility aid users.
Proposals
Greenhill Rd / Southern Parklands path
A new shared path that would run along the entire southern edge of the parklands along Greenhill Rd, tying together walking and cycling routes and linking Unley residents to the amenity of the parklands.
Mike Turtur Bikeway Overpass
The weakest link in what is otherwise the state’s best bikeway is at Goodwood Station. An overpass would provide a safe, convenient way to cross the train line and provide sorely-needed equitable access to Goodwood Train Station. Despite the overpass being cancelled in 2024, these needs remain.

The BUG assisted the Council by advising on community needs for walking and cycling across the city.
